WHAT DOES PHOTOGRAPHY MEAN TO YOU?

Photography is, of course, my job. But beyond that, it's a way to use my talents to bless others. Nothing makes me happier than hearing from a bride and groom that they love their wedding photos. They will look back on those images throughout their lives, through the good times and the bad. If looking back on those photos brings them happiness and helps them remember the love they felt on their wedding day, then I am overjoyed to be a part of that!

WHEN DID YOU FIRST KNOW PHOTOGRAPHY WAS SOMETHING YOU WANTED TO PURSUE?

For as long as I can remember I've had an interest in photography and an appreciation for great photos. When I was a kid, my mother always had a camera within arm's reach. My sister and I were constantly posing for photos together. I am so thankful my mom took the time to capture the small moments with my family. Looking through albums together ALWAYS puts a smile on my face. She was the one that taught me the basics of composition and understanding light.

When I began to travel the world in 2008, my mother bought me my first DSLR camera. It is to this day, the best gift anyone has ever given me as it opened the door to photography as not only a life long passion but also a profession.

A FEW FUN FACTS ABOUT MARK:

I travel more than I'm home,

I take photos more than I travel,

and I laugh more than I take photos.

It's a good thing I've got going!

I'm a globe trotter that never leaves his camera behind. My two obsessions fuel each other. 42 countries over 5 continents in the past 10 years and likely a TRILLION photos later, I have no intention of slowing down this crazy adventure called life.

I would rather have a chat than watch T.V.

I eat more chocolate than you would believe to be humanly possible.

I love rain.

I don't do well with scary movies despite watching many of them.

Sushi is life!

Every pair of shoes I own were made for dancing.

I believe the best is yet to come!

For me photography is not just about reading light and understanding composition, it's about expressing my passion through the camera. Being able to do this while laughing and having fun with my lovely clients is what makes my job the best job on earth!
